We went to an event on one of girls' weekends - We were "Rich Bitches" with mink coats, old lady wigs, old time netted hats and the whole get up. We had SO MUCH FUN

Re: NOVEMBER REVEAL: RAK #1
Oh, that is a tough one. I love Halloween. I think my favorite was when I was young and went as a baby. A footsie pair of pajamas, my hair in pigtails, a blanket & a bottle for the evening (not with milk). But recently, I've been a highway in Texas (also involved wearing my pajamas) and the California coast ( I was divided in half; part of me ocean and part of me land).
The real fun ones though are those of your kids.

I think this year as I'm going as Maleficent. Since she's been my favorite since I was very young, it is perfect.
I do agree with Kathy - I'm more excited about the kids costumes. They're going as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver this year!

This will date me but last time I went out trick or treating, my g/f and I were dressed up like the music band, The Bay City Rollers. We were in plaid from head to toe!

I'm so bad at costumes for myself, but a couple years ago I was a witch and that turned out pretty well. This year I'm going as a "fire bird" I have the wings and the mask and the best part it all works well with my warm black winter coat.

Re: NOVEMBER REVEAL: RAK #1
I don't like Halloween. A gf and I who have both been teachers, so we think this may have curbed our enthusiasm for Halloween...especially after 20 years.
I did say to art friends though, that this year we should all go dressed as Dylusions Paints. You could just make big cardboard circles for the lid on the front and back and then dress in clothing and paint your face the color of you paint.
We didn't do it this year, but maybe next year. We could each be our favorite color!

I was usually a princess when I was growing up. As an adult, my favorite was dressing up as a nun when I was 7.5 mo. preggers with my youngest kiddo.

I remember when I was 5 years old my mom dressed me up at Wonder Woman OH how I loved that costume. I had the rope and cuffs and my crown I wore it LONG after Halloween as it was always my choice when I would play dress up!

My Favorite costume has been when my mother in law handmade my 5 year old a "Good Devil" Red silk robe...with Gold sequins along it...and we found cutesy horns with the same glitter...my one year old daughter's costume was an angel...homemade by Gma ... white silk robe...silver sequined belt and huge puffy wings...and a sequined halo...so adorbs!!! Miss those days!

Re: NOVEMBER REVEAL: RAK #1
I was part of a duo for some event when I was age 4, and was dressed as Raggedy Ann and the other kid was Andy, and I loved the make-up part so much because of the liquid deep red rouge that I had coloring my cheeks. I don't think my mom even snapped one photo of that cute costume! I'm sure it would be a classic/favorite of mine still.
I love all the creative ideas in this thread too!
