QOTD 20 September
It's an early one from me as I'm heading out at 6.15am tomorrow for a wedding.
So my question is how many weddings have you been to this year?
Or when was the last wedding you attended?
We attended an evening celebration for Ade's cousin's wedding in the summer and tomorrow is another cousin of his.
They live a couple of hours away and we are stopping off at my sister's who live in the middle and is having our dog for the day.
The husband to be is a shephard, so we are all meeting at the farm at 10am for teas and coffees to then be taken by traditional English red bus to the wedding venue in Bath.
The celebrations are then held back at the farm.
We are also attending a Disney wedding whilst we are in Florida next month.
Exciting!!

Re: QOTD 20 September
My nephew got married in April, and that was very exciting. It's been a while since we have had a family wedding.
Oh, and I almost forgot-I went to another wedding in August. I grew up in Massachusetts, but my parents moved away about 10 years ago, and we have not been back since. The son of an old family friend from Mass. got married, and all these people I grew up with, but have not seen in at least a decade were there. All the people who used to be kids were now grown ups, all the grown ups were now grandparents, all the old people I knew are now really old.

Re: QOTD 20 September
We originally had five weddings on the schedule this year but one was moved to January 2015 and the other the groom was killed in a motorcycle accident 3 months before the wedding. He stayed with us off and on through his high school years and had been a good friend of my son's. The 3rd one we never received the invite although the groom insisted we were invited. We have attended one and it was very lovely and fun and the last one is next weekend for our niece. She is having the wedding portion outdoors so I hope the weather stays good for her

Have fun Lisa! Weddings are always so fun!!
Last one that we went to was two years ago next month, the son of our taekwondo instructor. It was in this lovely little church in a vale here in the the Ozark Mountains with glass windows all around it for the spectacular view. Really small wedding and quaint locale. So magical!!

Re: QOTD 20 September
I hate weddings.
I went to one last year. We were 40 minutes late and still got to see another hour of ceremony. Really.
Was a bridesmaid/maid of honor in 7 weddings before I got married. Hated them all. I eloped

Re: QOTD 20 September
Laura, that's so sad. To be killed so young and just before the wedding.
His poor family and fiance
The wedding yesterday was the best we'd ever been to.
So relaxed and so so much fun.
