Hmmm, there are two of the same bushy looking things that grow like crazy in front of my scrap room's window. For about 3 days, they sprout the most beautiful purplish/pink flowers. One popped up yesterday. Our tree is also sprouting leaves...it still had a good dozen leaves or so left to lose from last year, so I'm thinking that they're not going anywhere. ;)

Stephanie, that looks a lot like a Magnolia. Are they related?

We haven't had snow for a couple of weeks (except one day) but not much sprouting yet either. Grass is mostly brown. The magnolia and forsythia buds are swelling, so I hope they open soon. Would be nice to have some colour about.

Does it count if I am beginning to see my Christmas decorations along the sidewalk to my front porch?

I'm a little scared to see what's hiding under all of this snow! it's been a long time since we've seen our lawn!

Just brown dead grass here, but we've had rain for two days...hoping for some sunshine and warmer weather this weekend, more rain in forecast for next week.

Umm, what's snow?

Houston is always green or a shade of brownish green. I saved most of my plants from last year - I lost my angel wing begonia (sad face). Blueberry bushes and grapefruit tree already have buds. It is full on spring here.

No sign of Spring here. Hopefully with all this rain, something will start popping up soon.

I see a few green things popping up - but it's kind of a mystery because we are in a new house and I'm not sure what to expect. We planted a few things in the fall and I guess I'll see what survived the winter - come on spring! ;D
