MARCH REVEAL: RAK #2 Craft-tastrophies-WINNER!!!

Postby MandyKay » Feb 28th, '13, 9:14 pm

For a chance to win a 5$ gift certificate to the Daisy Boutique, tell us about your latest craft fail or craft related injury... Did you need stitches after a tangle with your craft knife? or did you try out something, you saw on Pinterest, to have it look horrible or fall apart?
One winner will be chosen randomly at the end of reveal tonight.

The winner of tonight's RAK is LauraC! Congrats!!!

I have accidentally knocked over my bottle of Modge Podge and got some of it on a layout before!

I will never forget the searing pain when my finger glanced over the top of the i-rock. Instant pain and stinging tears in my eyes. That thing gets so hot!

lol...the latest and I feel bad for saying this but I bought the mini album add on last month and I managed to do my papers right to make the accordian but the covers - oh jeez. One looks good but the other oh wow - I am going to have to rip it off and try again. It would be awesome except also I made my pockets on the top instead of the sides where the fold is...where the cover turned out right...my pockets are on the bottom.

Maybe I should start over with cardstock from my stash. I don't think I have ever had a mini album kick my butt like this one did.

Oh my yes.
I am the messiest crafter and my desk is never clear so I am constantly spilling stuff on my stuff.
That being said, I usually just go with it and sometimes I end up loving my messy mistakes.

Stabbing my palm with a very sharp pair of scissors--ouch! Though I'm sure there's been a recipe disaster from Pinterest too! :)

Last week I started to open a new bottle of mist, realized the plastic was still on the top, took it off and the lid fell off and got ink everywhere. Guess I had unscrewed it but the lid didn't come off til the plastic was gone. My fingers were blue for days.

I'm always getting hurt while scrapping. I cut off the end of my finger, cut down my finger nail, poked with needles or the piercer. Yes I'm a hot mess and accident prone.

if you run out of bandaids toilet paper and washi tape work just as good(just make sure its off the roll and clean :o

I was wearing a very loose shirt and accidentally misted myself down the shirt.....needless to say, I was very grateful I was wearing a black bra..and did a lot of scrubbing in the shower but my skin looked shimmery for days. Thank heavens it was gold lame color shine!

I tried to make a pincushion with a pattern I found on pinterest. It was awful. Had to ditch it and start over. Mine was much cuter!

Haha! Another use for all that washi! I may pimp my bandaids all the time! (Yeah, I sport them quite often.)

My latest was a craft knife cut on the finger which I then proceeded to spray with mist. The skin healed over leaving a blue streak for a while. I guess my body eventually absorbed it up, cuz it's gone now. :)

I have nicks and cuts quite a lot from my craft knife or my scissors but the one I remember most is the time I was going to an afternoon of crafting and was running behind. I grabbed my tool bag (a dollar store gardeners bag) and threw it in the front seat. Pulled out of my drive and it started to slide - OH NO!!! NOT ALL THOSE TINY TOOLS! So I threw my hand on it to stop it and put my piercer right into the joint of my thumb. It gushed blood all over. I had to turn back around and have hubby tourniquet it and it took a long time to stop gushing. That sucker kept popping open for the next couple days, every time I removed the bandage.
