They really are GREAT examples, but gosh...I really struggle with big circles. I guess that's what makes it a challenge!

25393 this one was fairly quickly made. It just said swoosh and done! The sewing on buttons took the longest of all in the LO. It's a bit messy but tells the story of our potty training really well. Will tuck that little poster I made behind the LO and tie a bit of string to it that'll stick up a bit.

Any tips or tricks how to improve this LO is greatly appreciated!

PS this means I can move on completely to the July kit, yay!!

Anna, I love this! You totally rocked the sketch! Love those clouds, it gives potty training a dreamy theme.

That looks lovely Carolyn! I love the look that sewing on paper creates.

And thank you ladies! I loved the buttons in the June kit and felt so so bad for not using them, thought they fit perfectly for this round theme. And the clouds are post its from the planner kit, only painted over a few times with low opacity paint. I think of freedom, being free from nappies. So quite similar thoughts Suzanna! (Though they ended up there to cover up a couple of splotches that I didn't like. Is it just me or is it hard to get nice and big splashes of color with the mister huyes?)

Anna -- I love the way you put the circle off center. Nice design. I always love buttons. I usually just tie a string in them. Sewing them on is a nice idea!!!!

Carolyn -- Very nice design. I like the title around the circle, but off center and the little twine at the bottom.

I agree Carolyn, that is a stunning layout!! I love it all but the stamps in the bottom right corner and the knotted twine really stand out to me!

Here is my take on the sketch. Unfortunately, it is a really bad photo. It's very gloomy outside. I might try again later ...
In real life the colors are very vibrant.
I'm still working with the May kit, but I almost killed it. So I can move on. Finally.

Sorry for the empty comment. I just couldn't leave the crappy picture up.
So I deleted it and retook it.

Oh! Wow! Simone! That is just AWESOME! Love the mixed media paint splashes and stamps! Thanks for playing and really knocking this one out of the park! I love that you shifted the big circle. And to include his own list - such a great memory!

I tried and failed! I didn't like the circle, and ended up partially covering the layout with white cardstock!
(the NH4000FTS layout in my gallery) Oh well. :D

I was just looking through the gallery, and I see that my layout looks just like Simone's "scrapbooking" layout! I lifted, and didn't even know it! ;D

LOL!! Terry, you could still retro make it the sketch work. Handstitch a circle around the photo title block. It wouldn't be a full circle but it would be the idea of a circle. Does that make sense? LOVE the layout. And, when I saw it in the gallery, I totally thought you lifted Simone's lift. Funny coincidence!

I did it! OK... I kinda cheated and used a vellum circle, but I did it! :D Thank you for the nudge to keep trying.
I even dug into some old CD stash, and mixed it with some new stuff. :)
