The "quiet" after the storm -

The "quiet" after the storm -

Postby kissy » Jul 18th, '07, 8:05 am

It seems that everytime I am done with a series of scrap pages or a big project I feel kinda "scrapless" and have to take a couple days off before I can dig back in. Does anyone else feel this way or are you able to just keep on going! :D

I'm usually the same way.... like the "muse" has left or something.

I tend to get like this if I bog myself down in too much all at once, like too many online classes for example ... my mind just seems to go in to melt down and so I get none of it done!!

I agree....I'm a bit burnt out at the moment. But sometimes it's nice to take a break!

Same for me. If I try to work while I feel this way my pages look awful.

I definitely go in streaks!
When I least expect it, I create some great things.
When I really need to, things don't seem to turn out quite as well.

Seems for me that I can usually kick out some three to four layouts that I'm happy with and then I'll have a dud that I'm just not happy with for whatever reason.  It's like I have to get my "blah" page out to move on and be creative again!  ;)

I'm in a lull right now. I just did a bunch of stuff, and I have more ideas, I just need to get a chance to go for it.

I can relate to that. Sometimes I just feel uninspired. Then other times I can stay up all night because I've got so many ideas.

Between a charity event and sewing costumes for a dance coimpeptition, it meant pushing scrap projects aside for almost three weeks and finally getting the time last week to do a succession of LOs was tough, and yes I do feel like a break.  When the *job* part of scrapbooking needs to get done, having a steore of techniques helps tremedously when inspiration goes into hiding.

one thing that helps me when I'm feeling uninspired is falling back on my book of sketches.
I try to do a lot of them when I feel creative. Then, when I don't, I can find a design and go for it. Sometimes that works to get me out of a rut.

I am in project mode right now. If I have to do a layout I think I will cry. I just seem to have lost the mojo for those right now. I'm working on a really cute (at least I think it is) message board using the August kit. CHA and MMM wiped me out so I am LATE, LATE, LATE.
Hugs,
Lisa P.
