I've finally done it enough now that I can almost remember what to do without re-reading it every time.

It was seriously plug and play. I haven't ever read any instructions, there are a lot of things I don't know how to do, but I can do what I want to with a very limited amount of knowledge.

That is good to know but still, I really really have a hard time....as you know! :)
Did you read my post on the IG posting thread? Ha Ha!!

I have one and it wasn't hard to set up at all and I am NOT tech savy. I also have a Cricut expression and can't stand that thing! With the cameo I don't use it a lot, but I sure love pulling it out to get a title I am looking for. It was well worth the money I think. It was a special Christmas present 3 years ago for me.

Wendy, I bought a Cricut off a friend and couldn't get on with it.
I ended up selling it on.

Funny...I bought a Cricut once upon a time and never took it out of the box. I ended up returning it. Now that I have the Silhouette, I'm really glad I did.

What did you gals decide to do? (Lisa and Denise)

I think I am going to go for it.
I just have to see how Bill does this month and if he can swing it.
Then I will be asking lots of questions I think!

I've been speaking to Ade and I have it on my birthday list. The fact that it's the only thing on my birthday list :)

I've asked for practical things. I know Ade's parents are very generous and want to do something big for my 40th, but all I want is for my FIL to tile my master bathroom that was started 4yrs ago and to put in skirting boards and finish the kids bathroom that was started 3 yrs ago.
We have everything there, I just need someone to do it :)
I just want a tidy home.

I have simple instructions for how to convert a jpg or png to a cut file, if you're interested. if we do end up having a tutorial or a blog post or whatever, let me know and I'll send them along.

I'm not daunted by the techy/computery part, but my problem is that I'm just plain hard on my tools and I'm sort of clumsy. I break stuff. my blade is getting old and I'm afraid I'll break the machine when I replace the blade.

You won't break it A :) Unless you twist the blue handle to the right and not the left, which would require a good deal of determination.

It's twist left, lift blade mechanism out, put new one in, make sure it's all the way set in, then twist right. Super easy.
