Three people to invite to your Thanksgiving Table...

Postby SuzMannecke » Nov 16th, '15, 7:14 pm

Who would they be? This is more of a lighthearted question but if you have more reflective responses than my more humorous ones, that is A-ok! (In addition to your usual family and friends you have dine with break bread with you).
This question popped into my head today while catching a tiny bit of tv when I was cleaning the kitchen.

I thought Rachel Ray, Kelly Ripa, and Ellen Degeneres would be a hoot!

Oprah, the Obamas and an author or two. I would love some rich conversation with my rich food!

mmmmmm interesting one.

The Obamas intrigue me too.
But I think I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my food and that would be such a waste :)

I'm thinking right now, if I could pick anyone....

I'm stressed having 30+ relatives this year to Thanksgiving. I can't even imagine if I invited someone famous

I would love to chat with Harper Lee. I think it would be super fun for some Cocoa Daisy Peeps to come visit as well.

This. It is all I can do to keep up with everyone I'll see about Thanksgiving (many of which I only see once a year). Anyone famous would be a waste unless they were willing to do all the cooking. In that case, Gordon Ramsey, Duff Goldman and Alton Brown are doing the cooking and I'm watching them cook and learning.

Let's invite Bradley Cooper, Jude Law and Ryan Reynolds.

Then we wouldn't really care about Thanksgiving dinner . . .

well, i must admit... my first thought was who i would uninvite - lol. But... to keep things on the brighter side.... I would love my late grandmother, that extremely good looking man from Criminal Minds, and Mandy Patinkin (the older male lead in Homeland) :) Wouldn't that be an interesting bunch - ha!

I'd love to invite Ricky Gervais, but no one would probably be eating because of all the laughter (love him!). I'd also like to invite the priest we had when I was a kid...although he's probably not still living. He was an amazing man. And I'd love to have my late grandmother there. Miss her.

Kate, Gordon Ramsey??
I really don't like him. I hate how he swears all the time. I find it so unnecessary. It really puts me off him.
Shame for someone with such a talent.

Which is the good looking one from Criminal Minds?
I love Peter Quinn from Homeland and he's from the small town that my Dad grew up in near Oxford.
Does he sounds English to you?
It always makes me wonder when people from other countries use a different accent if it can be heard.

Now this had made me think.
Sorry Denise and girls ...you've just been kicked off the Thanks Giving table. I love you dearly, but I'm replacing you with Rick Grimes and Daryl from The Walking Dead and I'd better have Ade join us too as I think that would be grounds for divorce if I didn't :D

Very true, I was thinking about the quality of the food instead of the quality of the language. Though I know he is capable of keeping it clean - he does Masterchef Jr. and I imagine he has to keep it clean for the kids.

If not him then maybe Cat Cora to keep with my chef theme. (I'm planning menus, can you tell?)

WOOT! I am coming to your house, Lisa! ;)

hmmm, to be sappy, I would love to have Thanksgiving with my parents who are no longer here.
If I were to go the famous route, I would like Stephen King, Ellen DeGeneres and Quentin Tarantino.

The one that plays Derrick Morgan on criminal minds.... SO GOOD LOOKING!

Lisa, I had NO idea that Quinn was English! He is so good on that show, isn't he?
