QOTD 12 October

"Why fit in when you were born to stand out" - Dr Seuss How do you stand out? What makes you stand out? I've been thinking about this a lot lately. My 10 year old, Mia, is a "unique" child. She really stands out in so many ways; she's taller than most kids her age, she is wise be...

QOTD 11 September

What book are you reading currently? I have been reading "The Secrets of Flight" by Maggie Leffler. It's good but the story line moves back and forth in time and when you can't read more than 5 pages every few nights, it's tough to keep track of what is going on. Though I am enjoying it, I...

Re: October Sketch Challenge

Oh wow! Carolyn that pic and title are just perfect for the sketch! I love the way you mimicked corn stalks with the strips of paper. Thanks for playing along this month!

Re: Your local weather...

Weather here is Richmond today is blah!! We have been spared the wrath of Hurricane Matthew but have had rain all day thanks to the moisture being pushed north by Matthew. It is dark and dreary and wet. The first four hours on the couch of on/off napping and movies was fine. I'm just a grump now. Ca...

Re: QOTD 05 October

I have THOUGHT about Christmas, but that's as far as I've gotten. One year I was really organized and had everything ready the first week of December. It was heavenly. I've never managed to repeat that. I'd love to do a little every month though, especially since my daughter wants a knitted mermaid...

Re: Thank you to our departing DT!

I'm so sad about those of you not returning... I understand, truly I do but after a while the people you work with become like family and that familiarity is so comforting. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with each and every one of you and look forward to keeping in touch via IG or FB. Best wishes...

QOTD 05 October

December Daily aside (I know a lot of people are looking at their options), have you started thinking about Christmas yet? I was in Michael's the other day and still can't get over all the decorations that are out and available for purchase... I LOVE Halloween and Thanksgiving, they are two of my MO...

Re: QOTD 04 October

Terry I wish I could help you with that but I have no advice to offer, sorry. That's a bummer about the update changing things.

Anna you and I share the same love for fussy cutting! Printers are much easier to install these days than they used to be - go for it! Do it yourself!

Re: Welcome to our new designers

Welcome everybody! This has been such a great team to date (I can't believe it's been almost a year for me!) to work with - laid back, everybody gets along, progressive! So fun! I'll jump in and share a bit about myself. I live in what you will know as Richmond, Virginia with my husband, 2 children ...

QOTD 04 October

Digital die cutting; - do you have a machine? Which one do you have? - are you comfortable with it? - do you use the subscriber exclusives from CD and if so do you print and cut or print and fussy cut? I'm full of questions today! I have a Silhouette Cameo that I've had for... I don't really know. 2...

Re: Fall Lift Me Up Game - Reveal

If you didn't see the steps along the way it would be tough to figure out how the last layout came about based on that first layout. SO cool!

Thanks Lisa for organizing!

QOTD 29 September

It's National Coffee Day here in the US. At what age do you think coffee drinking is okay? What leads me this question is I have a 15 year old who comes into every appointment with a mug full of coffee. Caffeinated. I'm not sure I approve. In fact, I don't approve. I'm not sure the reason I disappro...

Re: QOTD 28 September

Oh, and Suzanna, I wanted to add, the cursive fonts and brush lettering are the ones that need the most practice. If you start with an easy straight font, it is not as hard. If you can stand cussing you should check out Cindy Guentert-Baldo on youtube. She shows some awesome fonts that don't need a...

QOTD 28 September

Handlettering is a BIG thing these days. Have you done any of the online classes? Which class did you take? Do you hand letter? Do you like your own handwriting? More like questionS of the day! I like my own handwriting, when I can write in a straight line. I tend to write either uphill or downhill....

Re: October Reveal Chat

The DITL sub is a must! It truly is something you can use to scrap, in your planner, for PL. There's so much fun bits and pieces to the CD DITL kits! I say go for it! Plus you get the exclusive papers too! The colors this month are so bright and cheery! I can't wait to see all of the projects people...
