Re: QOTD 15 November

I love turkey at Thanksgiving. Love the leftovers, too. Always try to get a plate when they serve it at school as well. I don't think to eat it the rest of the year though, except for an occasional turkey sandwich. We try not to eat a lot of bread, though, so we don't eat many of those either.

Re: QOTD 26 October

Florida State University with a degree in science education (biology). I got my master's several years later in ESL (English as a Second Language) from Middle Tennessee State University. The second degree was a total bonus. I was hired to teach ESL in my current position because I had taught in Hond...

Re: QOTD 25 October

I agree with Denise. Getting out of today's image of "working out" was key to fitting it into my routine. I started trying to walk 3ish miles most days several years ago and it did wonders for me. Mostly it was just laps in my neighborhood, sometimes hiking, and I mow with a push mower. Wi...

Re: QOTD 20 October

I'm an egg lover too. I remember my father taking me to the waffle house when I was about four. He ordered eggs over easy and I did too. He didn't think I'd eat them, but I did and have loved them ever since. They always make deviled eggs for me at family functions. Scrambled is always good. Hard bo...

Re: QOTD 21 Oct

I am shamefully anti gadget. I don't even own a mixer/chopper of any sort whatsoever. When we moved three years ago I threw out the mixer because I couldn't find the lid and have yet to buy another. I guess if I thought about it I would get one as it's fun to make a smoothie now and then. Wait. I do...

Re: QOTD 10 Oct

I have actually managed to get my water intake under control. I'm in my third month of doing well. Go me.

I'll admit to the housework. I'm okay with the regular stuff: dishes, floors, laundry. It's that deep cleaning stuff that I never get around to doing. Blerg.

Re: QOTD 05 October

Re: QOTD 07 Oct

sounds like you two had delightful Friday evenings. we really just hung around the house, but it was so awesome know that it was the very beginning of a two week break from school. that is really the best feeling in the world. are creole deviled eggs different than your average southern potluck devi...

ugh. I must plead the 5th on this one. I manage to stay on top of the superficial stuff, floors, dishes, bathrooms. But deep cleaning? oy.

Re: Your local weather...

Our weather has been toying with fall, but not ready to commit. Like yesterday we were supposed to be in the mid 80s and hit 95. Then today I was expecting mid 80s again, but it was long sleeved t-shirt weather. Crazy.

Re: Creepy clown sightings

We had a local school lock down because of a threat associated with one. I heard someone mention maybe an upcoming movie promo, but I don't know if there's any validity to that. Probably just some dumb social media stunt that is currently trending. :P

Re: QOTD 10 SEP

Sort of. I typically dread fall because I know that winter will follow. I absolutely detest being cold. We've had a really hot summer though, so I'm thinking cooler days would be nice change. I've also acquired my first pair of leggings and I love them. I'm thinking I should throw out all my tights ...

Re: This weeks scrappy talk

Well, I just have to dump on you guys. I am feeling SO anxious about my papercrafting lately. I have just been dipping my toes in so many things this year that I have gotten myself overwhelmed. I bought the Hobonichi and have not found a way to keep up with it, but that isn't stopping me from wantin...

Re: Help -- Redoing a 40-year old album

Can you make some small little flip minis with the scenery pics that you could just attach to the page? Or do some plain pocket pages with photos only that you scatter throughout the album along with the layouts?

Re: Weekend Chat Thread 08/6- 08/7

I am in the same boat! Where did the summer go and why didn't I get more done? It was an awesome summer, though. :) I also really want to get back in the routine of walking. Walking my neighborhood in the evenings and taking those extra hikes to explore and see the beauty of nature. I haven't capita...

Re: QOTD 05 AUG

Walking is very relaxing for me, too. I wish I would get back in the routine of it. I also like to read, but it's another thing I have trouble staying in the routine with. Seems like it's just too easy to get in the rut of "relaxing" with the iPhone. sigh. It's annoying that it requires di...
