Re: Easter Week Chat - 10th April

Hi Lisa, I had a restful weekend after a lovely vacation in Mexico with Mike. We celebrated our 25th anniversary. Back to reality today, and had to deal with downtown traffic for a work training. Have to return for day 2 tomorrow. I have some homework to complete, but wanted to pop in and peruse the...

Re: QOTD 10 April

That is amazing, Lisa! I have such a hard time with feeling like my stuff is "old news" if I wait that long to post it. (Even if I haven't shared it with anyone, it still seems old to me.) Which has left me in a looooong blogging slump. :( Do you have any tips for getting over that mindset...

Great thread! Julie, I received A Man Called Ove for Christmas. Haven't started it yet, but it came from a close friend and trust it will be awesome. ;) I'm currently reading Joy on Demand by Chade-Meng Tan. I'll give it **** though I'm only 2/3 of the way through. :) So far I am enJOYing it very mu...

Re: HEY!!! Come Chat!! 23rd-29th January

Oh, that is a cool book! :)

Sorry about your skunk squatter! I hope the bright light works. We had a raccoon issue and now keep the back porch light on at night and they don't seem to visit. We lost several fish and turtles from the pond before we tried the light.

Re: February Kit - Reveal

I picked up the paper add-on and the Simon stamp set. :)
It is a very cheery color palette. I'm still looking for time to play with Buttercup, though. I am still swooning over those dark blues in the kit. :)

Re: QOTD 30 January

Oh, Lisa, this was me just a couple weeks ago. Mike is my man. We ended up having to go to the Apple Genius Bar after all, though. Luckily I didn't lose anything, I'm still not sure what the problem was, but after taking everything off of my hard drive and starting back from scratch, I seem to be so...

Re: HEY!!! Come Chat!! 23rd-29th January

Lindsay, your restaurant sounds yummy! And, I am one of those people who covets eating out of Chinese take out boxes. :). They always have them on TV, but I haven't seen them from a restaurant in a long time. I have a deep bowl that's about the right size that I like to hold in one hand and eat out ...

Re: This Weeks Chat 9th-15th January

Julie, so awesome that you are taking a class from Nat! 8) I've signed up for CJS, too, but have only watched Nat's introductory video. Look forward to seeing what you create, and for Wanderlust, too! Denise had such good things to say about that course last year. I have dabbled in bookbinding and a...

Re: QOTD 09 January

I can hear a happy bird outside from where I'm sitting. :) Yesterday the turtle in our pond made an appearance after a couple months, sure signs that Spring is coming. I want to cultivate a little patch of dandelions for my tortoise to feast on when he wakes up in March. Animals always make me happy...

Re: This Weeks Chat 9th-15th January

Settling into the new normal again as school is back in session. Jillian's schedule is less chaotic than last quarter, so that is a welcome change. Can't believe Jeremy is starting his last semester of high school! :o Anyone else still have their Christmas decorations up? Lol! I usually leave the tr...

Re: Merry Christmas Chat

Hello!! We had a lovely and quiet Christmas with Mike's parents visiting for the week. They left this morning, and it is always so hard to say goodbye. Re: Hello new week 12/12 - 12/18

Hey, hey, lovely ladies!! I am also not organized for Christmas. :P The tree is up but only has two ornaments on it. The mantle still has Halloween cards displayed. I decided last night that I will make Christmas cards afterall. I had convinced myself to buy them, but came up with a quick hybrid des...

Re: Official 2016 Christmas Card and ATC SWAP

Ack, you guys!!! I haven't even started. I'm going to have to bow out this year. :( Mike is in Taiwan again, and I've been trying to work with Jeremy to get college applications finished by tonight's due date. I can't believe we are cutting it this close. :P Looking forward to seeing all your creati...

Re: Official 2016 Christmas Card and ATC SWAP

Hi Denise.....I'm sorry that I will have to opt out of the card/ATC swap. My 88 yr. old mother is losing her memory at a horrific rate and unfortunately does not think she needs help. Trying to keep one step ahead of her at this point. Sending hugs, Julie! I know how challenging that must be for yo...

Re: QOTD 19 November

At this moment I hear: Mike sniffing and straightening up the living room. Jillian watching a "bunny box" unboxing video for pet rabbits. The dog jumping and tapping the sliding glass door asking to go out. Oh, and the heater just kicked on and warm air is blowing into the room. Fun prompt...

Re: QOTD 18 November

I am a one-trick pony. I basically wear it the same every day, especially since it is a shorter cut. When it was longer, I'd find myself wearing it up every day, so going to a short style was a no brainer, though sometimes I think it would be easier to have it longer so I can through it into an up-d...
