In this closeup, you can see the technique I used with the Maya Resist. I had a hard time choosing a cardstock base for this layout, so I chose to take a creamy white piece of cardstock and and then used the Maya Resist to drag along the edges of the larger photo mat.
I started by cutting a piece of square (10x10..I think) scrap cardstock and adhering it to the center of the cream/white cardstock. Then I ran a line of Maya Resist along the edges of the scrap cardstock. I then took an old gift card and used it to drag the Resist out towards the edge of the cardstock. Once it had dried, I misted the whole layout, removed the scrap cardstock, and peeled away the resist. It left a very interesting cardstock base to build my layout on.
