I am not a traditional PL scrapper, but I do love the cards and extra goodies in the DITL kit each month. I love missing up my albums and scrapping with the page protectors and cards make documenting special memories a breeze. Plus they are so clean...and cute in the end! So this page is about my daughter, Teagan's rainboots, which we found to have a handful of Tootsie Rolls in the bottom of them after she died. I can just imagine how she would reach in and get a candy on her way to play on her swingset and in her sandbox that last spring we had with her. I worked at a printshop and whenever Teagan would visit the owners would fill her pockets with Tootsie Rolls. I guess she was saving this little stash of candy and it was just a sweet moment for my husband and I when we found them weeks after she was gone and we were missing her so much. I still miss her and miss all the growing up and sweet memories we should have had with her the past several years. I love that scrapping gives me an outlet to save and document such memories. And a cute little spot to hold a handful of special candy too.
God bless you for sharing this from your heart. I love the layout and the colors and I did wonder about the Tootsie Rolls. I have spent the last 18 years looking after children in a big city pediatric intensive care unit so I have a little sense of your heart here. I also have a very special child who is on loan to me from God. Thank you.
